The Zack Milkovich Story

Zack and his family immigrated to this country when he was three years old.  They literally came with two suitcases and an American dream.  It was a dream that if they worked hard and played by the rules, they would find a better life.

When Zack graduated from High School he began attending the University of Akron but left when he got an opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps and work in the tire mold industry.  Zack devoted himself to that job for over 20 years until at the age of 42 he was laid off permanently when his company was purchased by the Koreans.

The American dream that Zack held so dear had been sullied and he became disheartened with a government that he felt wasn’t listening to regular people.  A few years later, he finally decided to do something about it and run for office.

He set his sights on State Representative, a seat that was held by a longtime incumbent who had great financial backing from big business.  Armed with only the truth and an old bicycle Zack began knocking on doors and telling his story of needed changes.

Thirty thousand doors later, the people of Barberton and South Akron made him their State Representative.  It was a feat that one Congressman would later call, “A miracle”.

In the end, the Zack Milkovich story is a testament to the idea that an ordinary man can do extraordinary things if he works hard, if he believes, and if the people will stand with him.  With your help, Zack will continue to seek out injustices and fight for what’s right no matter what the cost.
